Dave Matthews Band (DMB) is a rock group originating from Charlottesville, Virginia. The band was founded in 1991 by front man Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar and songwriter). The band includes members LeRoi Moore (sax), Stefan Lessard (bass), Boyd Tinsley (violin) and Carter Beauford (drums). The Verizon Wireless Music Center (formerly known as Deer Creek Music Center) is an outdoor amphitheater owned by Live Nation located in Noblesville, Indiana. When it was known as Deer Creek Music Center, the Grateful Dead performed there on July 2, 1995, in one of their final concerts before their last venue at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, on July 7, 1995. During the Dead's visit, a number of fans stormed a rear fence, attempting to enter without paid admission. As a result, the Dead's last concert at the facility on the following night was canceled.
