Dave Matthews Band (DMB) is a rock group originating from Charlottesville, Virginia. The band was founded in 1991 by front man Dave Matthews (vocals, guitar and songwriter). The band includes members LeRoi Moore (sax), Stefan Lessard (bass), Boyd Tinsley (violin) and Carter Beauford (drums). The band first broke through to the mainstream with their 1994 album Under the Table Dreaming. It would yield hits "What Would You Say," "Satellite" and "Ants Marching." Dave Matthews Band has become one of the 100 top selling musical acts of all time, having sold over 31 million albums in the US market.

The Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek is an outdoor amphitheatre just outside Raleigh, North Carolina that specializes in hosting large concerts. The amphitheatre is located on the west bank of Walnut Creek, southeast of Raleigh near the I-40/US 64/I-440 (Beltline) interchange. It was built by the City of Raleigh with private sector participation and opened in 1991; the inaugural act was The Connells. Seating capacity is about 7,000, of which about half are under cover; the open lawn can accommodate another 13,000.
The venue was formerly known as Alltel Pavilion, Hardees Walnut Creek, and simply Walnut Creek Amphitheatre. The venue is operated by Live Nation, a concert company, under lease from the City of Raleigh.--Wikipedia
